Heat Pumps
One system for heating and cooling.
A heat pump moves heat rather than making it, so one outdoor unit can warm your home in winter and cool it in summer. We help you decide whether one suits your home, and design and install it properly if it does.
What you can expect
Why homeowners call us for heat pumps.
Year-round comfort
Heating and cooling from one efficient system, with steady temperatures and less noise.
Lower running costs
Moving heat uses far less energy than generating it, especially in mild and moderate weather.
Hybrid options
Pair a heat pump with your existing furnace for the coldest days.
Incentive guidance
We point you to manufacturer and utility programs your system may qualify for.

FAQ
Questions about heat pumps
Can’t find your question? Call the office and talk to someone who knows heating and cooling.
Do heat pumps work in cold weather?
Yes. Cold-climate models keep heating efficiently well below freezing. For very cold regions, a hybrid system with a furnace backup is an option.
Can a heat pump replace my furnace and AC?
In many homes, yes. In others, a hybrid setup that keeps the furnace for the coldest days makes more sense. We’ll recommend what fits.
What is a ductless mini-split?
A heat pump with indoor wall or ceiling units instead of ducts. It suits additions, older homes without ductwork and rooms that are always too hot or cold.
Are there rebates for heat pumps?
Many areas offer manufacturer, utility or government incentives. Programs change, so we’ll point you to what currently applies to your system.
