FAQ
Questions about AC repair
Can’t find your question? Call the office and talk to someone who knows heating and cooling.
Is it worth repairing an older air conditioner?
Often, yes. If the system is in good shape and the repair is modest, repair makes sense. If it’s near the end of its life and the fix is major, we’ll show you the comparison.
Can I top up the refrigerant myself?
No. Refrigerant handling requires certification, and low refrigerant almost always means a leak that needs finding and repairing.
Why is my AC running but not cooling?
Common causes include a dirty filter or coil, a refrigerant leak, a failed capacitor or a problem with the outdoor fan.
Do you take after-hours calls?
Our after-hours line is for no-cooling emergencies, especially when someone at home is vulnerable to heat. Call and we’ll talk through the options.
